When I first received these speakers, I though GREAT finally some amazing sound and it was amazing! For the first few months now after having them 4 months, the return window has closed and already one of the speakers won't give out sound and the strength of sound on all speakers has weakened. I am not impressed!

Very good speakers. They're actually the first ones I've bought independently (I've always used the ones provided by Dell) and sound quality runs circles around those massively. The bass it ridiculous though-I have mine turned right down to the minimum setting and I can still feel my floor rumble every now and then! Plus both speakers are covered in soft mesh fabric for protection, but they pick up a lot of dust/hair and are impossible to clean. If you're looking for a cheap, great sounding set up however, these come highly recommended! For some reason Amazon don't seem to sell them any more, but if you can find them elsewhere for new (Google!) definitely consider them.

Read about a review before buying the item which stated that there was a lot of bass even when the woofer's control was turned right down. Know exactly what they meant now. Much too "bassy" which upset the neighbour and spoil movie viewing. If you like a lot of boom boom, then that's fine. If, like me, you prefer a more controlled and settled atmosphere and sound, then pick another product.
