There's little point in analysing the sound from £20 speakers. You compare them to others in the price bracket. Next to the others I have, by Altec Lansing & MyTunes, and several others that I used to own, these are the dog's danglies. It's just a really nice sound from well-built, smart-looking units. Simple, really.

Sound clarity is very good for a speaker of this price but the frequency response is poor.
No bass to speak of, just a very pronounced lower mid-range as an attempt to compensate. Upper mids are also very forward to bring out the vocal range but everything in between is badly scooped. Highs are nice and clear if a little rough. Overall sound is very boxy due to the mid-scoop.
Good for everyday computing / voice chat especially at this low price, just don't buy them to listen to music. When presented with a full frequency spectrum, they sound ugly.

For the price, they`re great value for money. Does just what is says on the tin! I always listen to the radio via my laptop and these were a massive improvement on the laptop speakers and great value for money!
